Privacy Policy — CompassAi Assistant
1. Who we are
Compass Motor Company is an independent UK motor retailer (vehicle sales, mechanical workshop and body repair). This policy covers the “CompassAi Assistant” application and its use of Google services. Contact: compassmotorco@gmail.com.
2. What this application is
CompassAi Assistant is an internal business tool used only by authorised Compass Motor Company staff to manage sales enquiries and vehicle viewing appointments. It is not a public consumer service and does not collect data from the general public.
3. Google data we access, and why
With the account owner’s consent, the application requests the following limited access:
- Gmail (read-only) — to read sales enquiries sent to the company sales inbox so that customer leads are logged and responded to promptly.
- Google Calendar (events) — to view availability and to create, update or cancel vehicle viewing appointments.
This data is used solely for those purposes. No other use is made of it.
4. How the data is stored and protected
Access credentials are encrypted at rest in the company’s private database on company-controlled servers. Enquiry content is held within the company’ internal customer-record system. All connections use TLS; access is restricted to authorised staff and is logged.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share Google account data with third parties. Data is visible only to authorised Compass Motor Company staff who need it to handle the enquiry or appointment.
6. Retention and your control
Business records are kept only as long as needed for customer service and legal obligations. Google account access can be revoked at any time at Google Account → Security → Third-party connections; revoking stops all access immediately. Requests to delete data held about you can be sent to compassmotorco@gmail.com and will be actioned within 30 days.
